BANDERAS CARRIES DILUTION !!!
Today I got the message from a breeder friend about a new born litter, sired by Banderas. All 3 babies are BLUE.
Surprise, surprise - it goes to show again that recessives never get lost. I will get some pictures and post them here. Watch out for it.

I received wonderful news from Sweden.
Marianne told me that our SAMANTHA
gained the title of European Champion at
the show in Stockholm on the weekend and
was also BEST IN SHOW both days. This
was a big show with 150 shorthairs plus
all the others.
I'm very proud of Samantha and thank
Marianne for showing her in such a nice
way. Now she is going to hopefully have
some babies before commencing and
aiming for the "DSM" title.

GIC Samantha of Wonderlove, ABY o
Just heard from Marianne Eriksson, Sammy's owner,
that she is 2nd best Abyssinian and 5th best shorthair
in Sweden in 2007, and, of course, best Sorrel.
For the best Abyssinian she was only beaten by a neuter
from Marianne's own breed - congratulations to all.

This was the weekend where the winners, human and feline,
were honored for the success during the past year.
GIC Uluru of Wonderlove, JW, was
3rd best ADULT all breeds &
5th best SHORTHAIR
of the year 2007.
The showresults of my cats in competition during 2007,
GIC Berenetto Banderas, ABY n and
CH Verena of Wonderlove, ABY o and
GIC Uluru of Wonderlove, JW, ABY n
put me in 2nd place of EXHIBITORS in German FIFe shows.
December 15 & 16, 2007 - FIFe Show in Isselburg
--------------------------------------------------------
This weekend was the last show of 1. DEKZV in
2007. It was also the last chance to gather points
for the TOP TEN in Germany.
Uluru did well both days and now has arrived in
3rd place of the adults all breeds and 5th place
of all shorthair cats.
The last secret remains - TOP TEN exhibitors.
Here all results are counted for the exhibitor of
the cats she/he showed in the past year. At our first
show in 2008, i.e. 19. & 20. January in Hof, the
winning cats and exhibitors of the year 2007 will
be honored.
For the "show results" of Uluru and Verena please
go there and find also pictures of both days.
December 1 & 2, 2007
What a nice and successful weekend again.
Uluru on Saturday BIS and BEST OF BEST 2,
and on Sunday BIS and BEST OF BEST 1.
And little Verena was only beaten by him and
came BEST IN SHOW (opposite sex).
I'm very happy, believe me :-))

Today we
had a
nice cat
show in
Luxembourg
(the
badly
needed
3rd
country
for the
higher
titles).
It
wasn't a
big show
but all
the well
known
beautiful
cats
attended,
f.e.
some
lovely
Burmese,
Chartreux
(the
real
ones),
British
in blue
and
black-silver
tabby,
Burmillas
from the
UK, a
big
class of
Russian
Blues,
Korat,
Cornish
& Devon
Rex and
a Sphynx
- all of
high
standard.
Of
course
there
also
were
some
very
lovely
Persians,
Maine
Coons,
Norwegian
Forest
Cats,
Ragdolls,
Birmans,
Siberians,
Turkish
Angoras
as well
as
Balinese
and
Siamese.
Our
judges
board:
Mrs.
Gina
Grob
from
Liechtenstein,
Mr.
Alfred
Wittich
from
Switzerland
and Mr.
Eric
Reijers
from the
Czech
Rep.
Uluru was
the
undisputed
star and was
chosen BEST
OF THE BEST.
I'm so proud
of my little
boy ;-))
September 22 &
23, 2007
This was another
show weekend,
this time in
Recklinghausen.
On Saturday we
again had a nice
number of Abys
present,
from Holland,
German IDP and
FIFe. My big boy
Uluru was
chosen as Best
in Variety but
later not
nominated by the
judge.
She prefered a
lilac British
boy. Uluru also
gained the title
of
INTERNATIONAL
CHAMPION (IC)
and will now
start for
the next title,
i.e. Grand
Intern. Champion.
For this he
requires
6 x CAGCIB (certificate
d'aptitude grand
championat
internatio-
nal de beauté)
in 3 different
countries. The
one show a year
in
Luxembourg comes
in very handy (Oct.
14, 2007).
On Sunday Uluru
got a nomination
from his judge
and was chosen
Best in Show and
in the end Best
of the Best # 3
(chosen from the
Best in Show
adults of the 4
category -
longhair,
semi-longhair,
shorthair and
oriental). He
makes me so
proud.
September 16, 2007 -
Schiedam
This was a lovely
show today in
Holland in a very
relaxed atmosphere.
We had a big class
of Abyssinians for a
change and 6 of them
where
nominated by the 4
shorthair judges - a
great day for Abys.
Uluru and
Verena and also
Valiant, Prince of
Wonderlove, a litter
brother of
Verena got nominated
on his first show
ever. Aat, his owner
and, of course
myself were tickled
pink :-)) Verena was
Best in Show by
unanimous vote
of all judges. It
was a day to
remember again.
August 18 & 19, 2007
We
had a lovely and
successful show weekend
with
Uluru becoming a
Champion and on Saturday
Best in
Show male and Best of
Best 2.
Little Verena beat him
to it and was both days
Best in Show 6 - 10
months.
I am
very proud of my
darlings :-))
June
27, 2007
Today is a very sad day. My
darling Ornella went over the
rainbow bridge.
She succumbed to PKDef. at the
age of 8 years. A week ago she
suddenly stopped eating and lost
weight and condition amazingly
fast.
So today it was time to help her
go to the green pastures of cat
paradise, where she will meet
all her friends and relatives.
She will never be forgotten.
Thank you, Anne-Marie and Erik,
for giving her a final place to
rest.
June 3, 2007
Drove home again from the show
with that constant smile on
my face. Banderas, my darling
boy, was again Best of the Best
1 in this show. He seems to
really convince all the judges
and the voting for him was in
all cases unanimous. This dear
boy makes me feel really proud.
Anne-Marie and Erik, my dear
Dutch friends, took a lot of
fotos which you will find on
Banderas' and Uluru's pages. I
hope you enjoy.
May 13, 2007
What a weekend!
The 1. DEKZV invited to a 2 day/2
certificate show in Langenhagen
(close to Hannover). It was also the
annual "CAT GERMANY" show on Sunday.
To explain: as you know we do have a
lot of IDP clubs here in Germany and
once a year we have a challenge of
IDP cats against FIFe cats :-)) The
IDP and FIFe cats at the show are
being judged separately and the BIS
shows of each will then compete with
each other for the title Mister,
Missis, Neuter, Spay, Teeny and Baby
Cat Germany. Of course, at that show
we also have judges from IDP clubs
judging our cats. The shorthair cats
were judged by Mrs. Sneum from
Denmark (FIFe), Mr. Stein from
Germany (IDP) and Mr. Lohff from
Germany (IDP). Please find the
results below. I'm still thrilled by
the lovely results of my darlings.
First of all BANDERAS. He not only
gained his last certificate ( 8 in 2
countries) and is now a GRAND
INTERN. CHAMPION (GIC) but was also
Best in Show shorthair and Best of
the Best no. I (best adult over all).
He also won against the IDP
nominated male
and is now MISTER CAT GERMANY
2007. BTW, his dad, GIC Kid
Creole of Wonderlove, JW, was Mister
Cat Germany in 2005.
But not enough yet (and I felt
really greedy in the end).
My young boy, ULURU, was Best in
Show 6 - 10 months and also chosen
TEENY CAT GERMANY 2007.
VERENA, in her first show, was also
BIV and nominated but beaten at the
BIS by an absolutely sweet little
Burmese. I can tell you that I was
SMILING all the way driving home
:-)))
29. April 2007
Today a drive to Hamburg and back was in
order to deliver the last "V"-kitten to
his new mama. Victor, that's his name,
was immediately at home and everything
was lovely set up for his arrival. The
balcony was netted in, I didn't count
all the new climbing posts and beds and
there was food for every taste :-))
Little Victor felt right at home. So now
they are all gone and I'm already
looking forward to some new babies later
in the year. Please, also check out the
"new home" page.
28. April 2007
Slowly the house is getting quiet. Today two more
of my "V"-Babies left. But I do have a good
feeling about their new
mom and dad and that makes it a little
easier to part.
Take a look at the "new home" page :-))
April 27, 2007
Today the first one of the V"-babies
has left
for
his new home. Valiant Prince of Wonderlove, ABY
n, will from
now
on reside at Aat Quast's home in Zoetermeer,
Holland.
I
hope he will adapt well to his new friends and
surroundings.
Good
luck, my little boy.
Watch also the "new home" page.
